Drainage Solution

This lil' backyard in the Durand neighbourhood had an uneven brick patio and an elevated grass area. This caused muddy runoff to collect on the patio with every rainfall.
What our clients wanted:
A way for the rain to drain so that the patio stays clean
What we did:
Trenched and installed a brick barrier from the grass area
Lifted & relaid the uneven sections of patio to direct water away from the home.
Installed a crushed limestone base to wick away moisture.
Installed a layer of granite river rock for an aesthetic appeal that matches the patio brick.
We did this installation during the torrential downpour season of July. It was really cool to see the patio stay clean and the water drain through the new permeable surface!
