Pollinator Corner
Est. September, 2024
This lovely home in the Locke neighbourhood had a beautifully prepared corner ready for an abundant pollinator garden.

What our clients wanted:
Provide a beautiful habitat for our local songbirds, bees, and butterflies
What we did:
Gave soft curves to the garden's edge for design interest
Planted over 70 plants of various colours and textures including several keystone plants providing food and shelter to our local pollinators.

Due to the milder weather conditions, Fall is the best time to plant native perennials.๐
Anytime a new plant is transplanted, they focus on growing their root systems. When planted in Fall, they grow their roots until the ground freezes (typically December for our ecoregion). Then, as Spring comes around, the plants continue to grow their roots. That way, by the time the harsh summer comes about, the plants have had ample time to build a robust root system to handle our hot summer days.
"Thank you itโs going well! ...There are some lovely blooms :)"
