The Brick Yard

Located on a sloped street, this front yard started out as an uneven brick patio with no garden spaces.
What our clients wanted:
Garden beds filled with beautiful, native pollinator plants
A cosy space to gather and enjoy a cup of tea in the morning
Safe, secure steps from the front door to the sidewalk
Reduced waste by reusing the existing bricks
What we did:
Reused the bricks and created steps and a patio surrounded by plants.
Created tiered garden beds with wooden retaining walls
Filled the gardens with pollinators, grasses, and shrubs
The native pollinator plants we planted bloom at different times, promising that this garden will give a stunning show from spring through to fall. The evergreen shrubs and ground covers will then provide beautiful greenery as winter rolls around. We can't wait to see this garden grow in the next couple years! 😊
